Hello! I am Dayna, the owner of The Mosaic Mind. My husband Steve and I design and craft mosaic stained glass pieces. This all started after I walked into an international store that has beautiful artistic, stained glass and ceramic tile mirrors for sale. The prices on their mirrors were outrageous, and I wasn’t sure about the colours that were used either. To add to it, they were all being mass produced in countries outside of our own.
After seeing how beautiful the mirrors were, we were inspired. Steve and I decided to make a mirror for ourselves and we had a blast doing it! Soon, we found ourselves making more… and more. Then, the requests started coming in! Now, this passion has turned into a business. Because every mirror is handmade and custom designed, they are extremely unique. Each cut is different and unique to the next. Each design and colour is a bit different, too. Each mirror comes finished with triple thick sealer and two hangers on the back. In addition to their visual uniqueness, each one also tells a different story. One of the best parts of our process is taking customer ideas and putting them into the design. It is the relationship that I have with each person, their stories and ideas that make my world make so fulfilled.
I am so thrilled to be able to create these pieces and have clients hang them in their homes and business. We’ve even had our pieces hung in different parts of the world! Thank you for reading my biography and I hope to be working with you soon.
